The good first: the packaging is probably THE best format I have ever tried for a foundation, or any skin product. It allows for both targeted application direct off the stick if on the go, while being wide enough to pick up with a brush to apply at home. The sponges at the end are genius for blending while out & about: great results with no mess, wet or dry. Better yet, they are removable for easy washing, and there's even a spare so if you didn't have time to wash it after a long day, you can still pop on a fresh one for next day! The styling is sleek and luxurious in an understated, 'makeup artist's makeup' sort of aesthetic ;-). Both ends click shut firmly, so I would feel totally confident taking this along in a bag, maybe even loose without a makeup bag! Unfortunately, I won't be doing that, because the product inside is a huge disappointment. It's so bad, the product would get 1 star on its own merits - the 3 stars are all down to the packaging. It is oily in texture, yet not very spreadable or easy to blend. It is thick, yet feels weirdly rough on skin, not moisturising and smoothing. It is scented, which I normally love in makeup, but this scent is heavy, cloying, and mine had a hint of rancid to it. To be clear, I don't necessarily think it had actually gone bad; I've noticed that sometimes, unscented products have substances inside that smell very similar, and I know some fragrances are used in the industry to cover those up. This struck me as that kind of situation. Finally, it was just NOT a good color. Because it has only two colors, I think you are supposed to pick your undertones, and then it's meant to use your skin's PH to adjust to a custom shade, like some lip stains or blushes. At least, that's how I thought it worked with Korean foundations. But at least for me, it never worked like that. It was visibly off. If I wanted to wear it all over, full coverage, it might just have worked, but this seemed great for using on targeted areas, like undereyes or areas with blemishes, and it just wasn't close enough a match to make this possible. Overall, this is only worth it to clean out the tube and transfer a different stick makeup product into it for easier use. Otherwise, only give it a chance if it's lower enough in price than what you'd normally pay for this type of product that you wouldn't care if it turns out to be a dud :P
