The size of the pack is small. I have to soak it for long time before mixing it into plain rice and cook. So such a little pack lasts a long way. The quality is great too. No broken grains and the grains look fresh. It does not have special taste. I just mix it with plain rice which give the rice extra vitamins, protein and fibre. I haven't yet tried other cooking method. think it would be nice if I boil it in soups as well. The price is reasonable as I know that wild rice itself is not cheap.

I'll always advocate buying Native-grown first for the absolute best quality, but if you can't get your mitts on Native grown wild rice, this is a solid second choice. This is the wild rice of my childhood and it continues to deliver consistent quality over the decades. If you've never cooked it before, follow the directions, but test it several minutes before the minimum time, particularly if you like a little chew (al dente) as cooking times tend toward American norms of overcooked/mushy (aka "exploded" grains).
